Cookies

In common with most websites, we use small text files ('cookies') saved on your computer or mobile device to enable some of the features on the site and make it work better over time. Our assumption is that by viewing this website with internet browser software set to accept cookies, that setting reflects your acceptance of our use of such files.

Cookies can help us to make our website more convenient for you to use and allow you to share pages with social networks such as Facebook. We do not use cookies to collect any information that can identify you without your permission. Neither do we pass data to advertising networks or other third parties. As is the case with most websites, ours includes functionality provided by third parties, such as embedded video material stored on YouTube. Other examples include search facilities provided by Google, for example, which is also used for measuring website traffic; and MailChimp, which provides a service that allows us to send personalised emails to our mailing list. Disabling cookies will probably stop the functions provided by these services from working.

It is usually possible to disable cookies using a setting in your internet browser. However, if your concern about cookies is related to what is called 'spyware', a better approach may be to install anti-spyware software, which can automatically remove malicious or invasive cookies.
